Advance your skills in digital underwater photography with Lawson Wood.
Lawson made photographic history by becoming a Fellow of the
Royal Photographic Society and Fellow of the British Institute
of Professional Photographers solely for underwater photography.
Lawson has been taking underwater photographs for over 35 years
and is the author and co-author of over 40 dive guides to many top dive locations.
Lawson lived and worked in the Red Sea for over three years and has intimate
knowledge of the marine life, reefs and wrecks and is credited with discovering
the identity of the Carnatic. He has worked exclusively with the VIP ONE for over five years.
The trip will cover all aspects of underwater photography, whether with a
'point & shoot' or digital SLR. All students will receive one-on-one
sessions and dive accompanyment and everyone will be shown how to
get the best out of a photographic subject or location. Daily lectures
and constructive critique for everyone will fill in the gaps in knowledge.
An introduction to Photoshop techniques will also take place with
information on how to utilise 'quick-fix' techniques; the easiest routes to
follow and how to properly archive photographs for storage and future reproduction.
A competition will complete the week with the winning photographs appearing on
the Red Sea College Web Site.
Let Lawson lead you into the exciting world of digital underwater photography,
have fun whilst you learn new skills!
